Gloria Cabada-Leman
Born and raised in The Bronx, NY, but finally finding her true home in Montana since 2014, Gloria graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University with a degree in Politics, and received her J.D. with High Honors from Duke University School of Law, where she was a staff editor for the Duke Law Journal, a member of the Moot Court Board and Order of the Coif. Gloria is an active member in good standing of the State Bar of Montana and the State Bar of North Carolina, and has been admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts of Montana and North Carolina.
Gloria’s current practice focuses on firearms law. Her prior legal experience includes private corporate practice as an associate and partner at a major North Carolina law firm, with a focus on intellectual property law, computer and internet law, and IP/business litigation. She also worked several years as General Counsel & VP of Legal, Administration & Finance at a software company in the Research Triangle area of NC. Gloria’s business experience spans from being a successful small business owner in the specialty foods industry, to management and leadership roles in a Fortune 100 corporation, service on the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization, and currently sharing ownership and teaching responsibilities with her husband in a personal safety and security business. Gloria is also a firearms instructor at a local training center and range, and active in her local chapter of Armed Women of America.
Gloria is a life member of the Montana Shooting Sports Association, and holds Instructor certifications from the USCCA (Concealed Carry & Home Defense Instructor), NRA (Basic Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer), Modern Samurai Project (RDS Pistol Fundamentals Instructor), and Sage Dynamics (RDS Handgun Instructor). She has also received training certifications from Gunsite Academy, Steve Tarani, Warfighter Concepts, Defenders USA, Riley Bowman, and Montana Tactical Firearms Instruction. Gloria is a member of Gun Owners of America, Second Amendment Foundation, Firearms Policy Coalition, Armed Women of America, and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep & Bear Arms. In her free time, you can find Gloria and her husband hiking, 4-wheeling, or hunting in the mountains and forests of Montana, ice skating and playing pond hockey on their home rink, and volunteering at their church.
